Coating lifecycle

Performance starts with coating structure.

EX E-volution coatings are engineered around a specific coating structure that controls how the product behaves during storage, spraying and drying on natural turf.

This controlled structure enables efficient atomisation, ultra-thin film formation and consistent performance.

Technical
The EX E-volution coating structure is engineered for controlled atomisation during application. This controlled spray behaviour allows the coating to form an ultra-thin and uniform micro-film on the grass blade, ensuring consistent film formation across the turf surface.

Practical
Fine atomisation distributes pigments efficiently across the turf, producing bright and clearly visible lines while reducing paint consumption. In practice, line marking typically requires 3–5 litres per football pitch, while delivering sharp and clean line edges, even pigment distribution, and minimal overspray during application.

Technical
Controlled rheology keeps pigments evenly suspended within the coating structure. This prevents separation or sedimentation during storage and maintains the stability of the coating over time.

Practical
The paint remains stable and ready to use even after extended storage periods. There is no heavy sediment at the bottom of the container, the colour remains consistent from the first litre to the last, and the product offers a shelf life of up to 24 months without requiring mixing, stirring or shaking before use.

Technical
The ultra-thin micro-film dries quickly while remaining breathable on natural turf. This breathable coating structure allows the grass blade to continue its natural physiological processes without being sealed.

Practical
Lines dry quickly and remain durable under field conditions while protecting the grass blade. The coating provides fast drying, high resistance to rain and irrigation, and forms a breathable film that supports healthy turf and durable line visibility.

Technical
EX E-volution coatings are engineered to deliver predictable performance under real field conditions. The coating system maintains stable behaviour during storage, spraying and drying.

Practical
On natural turf this typically results in paint consumption of 3–5 litres per football pitch, stable spray behaviour during application, and no sedimentation during storage. The coating maintains its performance over time with a shelf life of up to 24 months.

Origin of EX E-volution

Developed trough decades of turf coating research

The EX E-volution approach did not start as product idea.
It emerged from decades of formulation work in turf coatings and specialised surface systems.

Since 1989, coating behaviour, rheology and application performance have been continuously studied and refined trough practical field use.

That long term development led to a deeper understanding of how coatings interact with turf surfaces, application equipment and environmental conditions.

EX E-volution is the structural outcome of that experience: a coating system built on formulation science, field testing en continuous optimisation.

FAQ

The EX system is modular. Battery, pump and service E-Boxes can be swapped in seconds without tools or a technician. Keeping a spare on hand minimizes downtime and keeps service simple, predictable and affordable for your organisation.

The E-Marker uses a closed pump system and stainless-steel nozzle, so routine maintenance is minimal. A short quick rinse after use is usually enough. If a pump or battery wears out, you simply replace the E-Box instead of sending the machine in for repair.

Yes. EX Performance Paints are formulated specifically for natural turf. They do not burn, yellow or dehydrate the grass and are permeable enough to let the surface breathe, keeping pitches playable while the turf stays healthy over time.

No. The closed BIB system and non-sedimenting formula keep the paint homogeneous during storage and use. Field maintenance teams simply connect the bag, start the E-Marker and can focus on line marking instead of lifting, shaking or mixing containers.

Under normal conditions, Brilliant Performance dries within minutes. Lines are ready for use shortly after application and remain bright and visible even in damp morning conditions, light rain or humid weather, making matchday planning easier.

With the E-Marker and EX Performance Paints, most natural grass pitches can be marked with around 3 to 5 litres. Actual usage depends on grass type, length and weather, but this is often fifty percent less than with traditional systems.
